Six-Step-Social-Media-Lead-Generation-Strategy-Canva

After working with 100’s of SME’s over the last 8 years, one thing I have learnt is the importance of generating leads online, especially through the use of social media. I have just released a six step social media lead generation strategy download that is complimentary, to help you with your lead generation. Below is a more detailed overview of the six steps, and how you can utilise this for your business.
  1. Where does your target audience hang out?
To be able to generate leads that will turn into sales, you need to be targeting the people who are most likely going to purchase your product/service which is called your target customer. Finding out where they spend your time will give you a good idea of where you should be focusing yours.
  1. Adding Value
There is no point in hard selling to your target customer because they won’t trust you as a business. You need to be adding value online. When posting on social media, you should be thinking about HOW your content is adding value. This piece of content might come from a thought leader in your industry however, it needs to link back to you. I share a great tool that will help you achieve this in my download.
  1. Capturing leads
Having a lead generation strategy that is giving you your desired results, means you will need to capture leads and to do this, you will need to use technology. For this, I use Mailchimp. To make sure this transition is smooth, I use a landing page on my website and as soon as someone signs up, they are taken to a brand consistent page, linked to mailchimp so that every person who signs up, automatically enters my email marketing list.
  1. Keep adding value through email marketing
As I said above, all of my generated leads, end up in email lists within my mailchimp account. I have used this piece of software so that I can easily send out emails to the people who have signed up through my website. Make sure all of your email marketing keeps adding value and don’t just send an email for the sake of it.
  1. Analyse
Step 5 of my six step social media lead generation is analysis. This is a huge part of any strategy for any business. Understanding why something is, or isn’t working is crucial. If it isn’t working and you aren’t getting the leads you were hoping for, something needs to change.
  1. Make the call
I have spent the last 18 years developing a sales call structures that allowed me win new business, as well as book training and speaking engagements. This is something which I also give away free of charge on my website but make sure you don’t use this identically. Every business has to approach lead generation differently so find out what works for you, and go from there.
